We all know that the search engines are drawn to websites that are rich in content. But for many companies, the prospect of creating that content just seems too daunting a task, and so it’s left undone. So here’s a first step. Whether you do this yourself or sit down with others in your company, take an hour and a pad of paper, and make a list of topics your customers want to know about. Those items may be minor or significant, but they need to be relevant to your audience and to what you do. Then write a date beside each item on the list, and even if it’s only a few sentences, post something informative and valuable about that topic, on that date. It may be simple, but it’s a start — and there’s a good chance it beats what you’re doing (or not doing) now.
