Search Engine Optimization – making sure your website appears as high as possible in searches by Google, Yahoo, et al – is both art and science. But here’s a simple tactic that can yield big results. Make sure the title tag for every page includes your company name and the search terms people are most likely to use to try to find that page. Keep it under 65 characters so the whole phrase will appear in the search results, and limit it to 8 or 10 words. If your business is referred to in multiple ways (attorney, lawyer, law firm, litigator) use all those keywords in various title tags on your site.
