We often name positions based on the benefit they provide to the organization. This is especially true with front line, customer-facing team members. But the titles we use send signals to the consumer about our priorities. An account representative sees you as an account, not a person. A financial advisor dispenses advice — but most people need more. This seems to be particularly true of millennials, who often express a desire to be heard and seen as individuals.
