On the Food Network show “Chopped,” chefs are given a basket of ingredients and a set amount of time to turn them into an appetizer, entrée or dessert. In each round, one chef is “chopped,” until only one remains. The judges look for presentation, use of all ingredients, creativity and flavor. When you’re competing for business, what gets you chopped? Do you know the criteria the prospect will be using? Do you know which matters most to them? Do you know where you’re strong and where you can improve? The answers can help you go from chopped to champ.
